He was subsequently transferred to the New Amsterdam Public Hospital, where he underwent surgery and was being observed by doctors.Meanwhile, Police were on Saturday evening in pursuit of the two perpetrators, who escaped on a CG motorcycle through Reef, Rose Hall into the backlands.An eyewitness told Guyana Times that the gunmen arrived on a motorcycle, and both were wearing full face helmets.According to another eyewitness, the boutique was closed during lunch and had just reopened when the bandits struck. The eyewitness related that persons in the store were ordered to lie face down on the floor. One of the gunmen then approached Prasad, who was in the cashier’s booth and opened fire, hitting him.
