first_imgNick Bosa sacks Rutgers' Arthur Sitkowski.Rutgers went with true freshman quarterback Artur Sitkowski as its starter to begin the year. He can’t be a big fan of drawing Nick Bosa and the Ohio State defense in his second start.Bosa has been a monster for his entire career as a Buckeye, as was his older brother Joey before him. He’s been incredibly impressive against the Scarlet Knights today.Moments ago, he blew by a Rutgers offensive tackle, and took Sitkowski down hard on a blind-side sack. The first half ends with a @nbsmallerbear sack. pic.twitter.com/utVRxKUiBN— Ohio State on BTN (@OhioStateOnBTN) September 8, 2018Artur Sitkowski was reportedly shaken up after the Nick Bosa sack. That play ended the half for the Buckeyes.Artur Sitkowski wincing and holding his shoulder as he walks to the locker room at halftime. The first half could not have gone worse for Rutgers. pic.twitter.com/OeekFDgI89— Brian Fonseca (@briannnnf) September 8, 2018Hindsight is 20/20 but calling a pass play with 5 seconds before the half was ridiculous and Rutgers may have paid the ultimate price with Sitkowski getting clocked by Bosa and appearing to hurt his shoulder. Half couldn’t have gone any worse.— Aaron Breitman (@aaron_breitman) September 8, 2018Rutgers should probably just take Sitkowski out of the game. That poor QB is getting annihilated, the game is over, and he is a true freshman with a future.— Mike Dury (@MikeDury) September 8, 2018Sitkowski was 6-for-18 for 38 yards and an interception in the first half for Rutgers. The Scarlet Knights trail the Buckeyes 35-0.Last week, in a 35-7 win over Texas State, he showed the ups and downs of playing a freshman quarterback. He completed 20-of-30 throws for 205 yards and a score, but also had three interceptions.Still, he should have a bright future for Chris Ash’s squad. Hopefully any injuries he suffered are minor.last_img
